EKITI FREE HEALTH MISSION ON THE MOVE AGAIN!
The Free Health Mission train of Ekiti State Government made a stop at Ikere-Ekiti yesterday where it attended to more than 2, 000 people at St. John Primary School and Holy Trinity Primary School.
Dentists, oculists and other experts were on ground to treat the people who could not hide their excitement and prayed endlessly for the Fayemi administration for making their health a priority.
The medical mission train had earlier visited Otun, Omuo, amongst other towns. The train is presently in Ise-Ekiti where thousands have also trooped out to take advantage of the free health mission of the Fayemi administration.
To spice up the occasion, gifts ranging from generators, standing fans, bags of rice, cooking stoves, amongst others are also being given out in a bonanza. The difference about this kind of bonanza is that the people are not buying tickets or paying any kind of fee.
The winners of the various gifts showered praises on the Fayemi administration for the largesse.
Since it kicked off in 2011, the Ekiti State free health missions had recorded more than 1 million beneficiaries.
The free health mission was initiated as a stopgap programme to accommodate those who are not covered by the free health programme of the Fayemi administration.
Pregnant women, under-5 children, physically challenged persons, elderly persons above 65 and those living with HIV/AIDS are those covered by the state's free health programme which subsists at primary health centres and general hospitals in the state.
