PDP Dealt Another Blow As Ebira Youths Dump Party For APC

It was a rain of gifts today as Mr. Adeoye Aribasoye at a political gathering showered various gifts on the people of Odo-Ayedun in Ikole Local Government.

The gifts ranged from standing fans, pressing iron to wall clock, clipper and cash gifts.

Nine farmers and ten Ebira youths each received N5, 000.

Besides these, JAMB forms were given to nine youths.

Explaining the reason behind the gesture, Mr. Aribasoye said it was his own widow's mite to his community and also a way of supporting the good works of Governor Kayode Fayemi.

He said he believed that an important essence of life is touching people's lives and putting smiles on their faces.

The representative of the governor on the occasion, his Special Adviser on Policy and Strategy, Mr. Biodun Omoleye, commended the gesture, saying Aribasoye had demonstrated that one does not have to have millions of Naira before giving back to the people.

Speaking further, Mr. Omoleye said Governor Fayemi does not joke about the welfare of the people, hence his many people-oriented and poverty-allieviating programmes.

He assured the people of more rewards from government, urging them to win more people over to the APC as the PDP is finally grounded and fast sinking.

Also speaking at the gathering, a retired magistrate, Mr. Ajayi, said it was instructive that Mr. Aribasoye, a young man, who is not a political appointee could think of giving back to his society, urging those occupying political posts to borrow a leaf from the gesture.

Over thirty (30) Ebira youths defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the occasion. They were received by the Special Adviser to Governor Kayode Fayemi on Policy and Strategy, Mr. Biodun Omoleye.

The defectors said they left the PDP because of its insensitivity to the plight of the masses.

Apart from the many gifts which he doled out to the people, Mr. Adeoye Aribasoye also treated the people to rich delicacies like rice and pounded yam and lots of drinks in celebration of the Yuletide.
