Gov Election: We'll Resist Any Form of Rigging in Ekiti - APC Youths

Youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State have urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies, especially the Nigeria Police, "to get their acts together" in the governorship election billed for June 21 in the state.

In a communique issued at the end of their summit at the weekend, the APC youths said they were "poised to resist any form of rigging and any attempt to foist on Ekiti, elements who have been rejected, but who seem to be selling lies about their imagined popularity to the PDP-led Federal Government."

In the communique signed by Ekiti APC youth leader, Mr. Yomi Oso, the youth said as "citizens and voters, the youth are prepared to defend their votes, warning that those planning to rig or use federal might should not import the Anambra style into Ekiti, as doing such would be met with stiff resistance."
