AYEGUNLE/IJURIN/ILORO ROAD TO BE RECONSTRUCTED
Governor Kayode Fayemi today visited Ijero Local Government in continuation of his Government's budget tour.
In all the towns visited, the people could not hide their excitement as they commended his administration for its unrivalled performance.
At Ijurin, the community thanked the Fayemi administration for renovating their secondary school, provision of boreholes and transformers, public toilet and for the over 80 elderly persons who are receiving the monthly stipend of N5, 000 from the government.
While asking that Ayegunle/Ijurin/Iloro road be reconstructed, they assured him of their support in the 2014 governorship poll.
The spokesperson for the community, a retired principal, Mr. Adewale, noted that the achievements of the Fayemi administration in 3 years are unparalleled and monumental, adding that Dr. Fayemi would be the first governor to commission a project in Ijurin-Ekiti.
Responding, Governor Fayemi said the Ayegunle/Ijurin/Iloro road would be included in next year's budget.
He also assured the community that experts from the Ministry of Environment would be sent to look at areas ravaged by erosion in the town and recommend ways to tackle it.
He also promised that more Ijurin sons and daughters would be appointed into his government.
The governor later commissioned the new Ojurin's palace which was partly built with the grants received from the State Government under the community empowerment programme.
"Truth is always the strongest argument"- Dr. D.K. Olukoya
