These are pictures of the Alasa's Palace that is being renovated under the Ekiti community self-help projects.
The demand of Ilasa-Ekiti when communities were being given grants was that it be
given money for the renovation of their palace.
Work is ongoing at the palace.
In my interaction with the chiefs, I discovered that handymen (artisans) from the community are employed to the the job. This has fulfilled the objective of the Fayemi administration to create jobs for rural dwellers.
His Excellency, Governor Kayode Fayemi will be inspecting work at the palace this morning and he will also be meeting the people of Ilasa to know the demands for next year preparatory to making the 2014 budget.
