Governor Fayemi postpones visit to Emure
Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has shelved his planned visit to Emure Local Government Area tomorrow, (Tuesday, November 5, 2013) as a mark of respect for the victims of Sunday’s fracas which claimed the life of a citizen and left several injured.
Governor Fayemi in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olayinka Oyebode, faulted the act of resorting to violence to settle political differences and appealed to all citizens of the state to continue to embrace the path of peace.
The Governor who was initially billed to visit Ikere, Ise-Orun and Emure Local government areas in continuation of his tour of communities, would only visit Ikere Local Government Area, while new dates would be announced for Ise-Orun and Emure Local Government Areas visit.
